Askelgirl Technology Centre has been developed to realise the owner's passion for high powered computing. Coming from years of experience in 3 dimensional computing works; the owners realised a desire to build and operate a substantial computing network of their own.
One of the benefits being the ability to host the largest collection of computer games ever collected. The other principal benefit being the extraordinary computing power now at their disposal.
This network has been designed as a resource for all who have a need whether that be playing games, solo or together on LAN or the internet, using software, otherwise unavailable due to cost, learning some of the tricks and rules of various packages or some other more specific use involving the entire network.
The Askelgirl network is without question the fastest and newest computing network available for general access today. Askelgirls network is hardware and software full gigabit with no corners cut. Cat six cable, copper switches and numerous internet connections mean the likelyhood of any one user experiencing in house latency is negligable.
Dell Poweredge Servers keep the whole network humming as it was designed to be when we first opened over 4 years ago. We are currently implementing and upgrading these servers to allow our members and guests to be able to save their games, which means that you will be able to sit down and play on any computer in Askelgirl, and when you log on your computer will down load and unzip your saved games.
All components are of the highest specification and user interfaces ergonomically designed. We are currently in the process of upgrading our Computers ram from one (1) Gig to two (2) Gig.
In addition to this we have just finished trialing "The Spider" platform.
We were so impressed that we have decided to start purchasing this admazing PC for the "Vallhalla" Room.
The "Hades" room has had a make over. We have built 4 new private single seater tables, that allow "Private" gaming for those of you who don't like to rub shoulders with your fellow gamers this also prevents the infamous screen cheaters from "Glancing" over at your monitor just for a little bit of screen help. Hades now holds 14 high spec Computers with 2 gig of ram
Askelgirl is proud to announce that we have installed two networked X-Box 360.
AND is currently trialing XBOX LIVE for all of those XBOX fans, so that you don't suffer withdraw symptons when away from your X_Box 360.
