Hi and Welcome to Askelgirl Technology Centre Valve Cybercafé Web Page.
The Valve Cybercafé Program is a commercial licensing program designed to allow game centers to present Valve and third-party games to their clientel.
This is the only valid way a Cybercafé can
legally allow their clients to play Valve Games on their premises or on line.
The benefits of being a Valve Cybercafé besides not breaking the law is that the Café Administration Server (CAS) allows us to locally update individual computers on our café's local area network, reducing the time that is needed for up dates to be installed.
It also allows our clients as individual users with personal Steam accounts to access their account on any computer station located at Askelgirl, and manage their game subscriptions on a concurrent user basis.
Automatic Updates Delivered Via Steam means that all of your and our game subscriptions will be kept up-to-date with the latest versions using Steam's distribution system. New content, bug fixes, and other items which have traditionally been distributed as "patches" are handled automatically.
Another benefit is the ability to save single player Steam game saves on our server. This means you can play all the Steam titles from start to finish over whatever period of time you like.
There is now no need to "run" from Computer to Computer typing in passwords. Its as simple as a click on the Valve icon in the Smart Launch Task bar, and curser down to the game that you wish to play. Just a little wait, and a panel comes up where you type is your Askelgirl Username and Password and click continue. If you wish to use your own Steam Account this is were you type in your Steam Account Name and your Steam Account Password to access your account.
Additionally it makes running a Tournament easy with Valve supplying Free Tournament Licenses when you hold tournaments at our Cybercafé - the Tournament License itself is free and gives you the authority to run a tournament and if we do not have enough café subscriptions to cover our event, temporary tournament subscriptions are available.
